Charité Sans Frontières: Au secours des petits coeurs de Manille

Dans la capitale philippine, la misère fait souvent partie du décor. Touchées par la précarité, de nombreuses familles trouvent refuge dans des bidonvilles, alors que des enfants seuls vivent sur les trottoirs de la ville. Leurs blessures sont profondes : abandonnés par leurs parents, parfois violés par leur père ou battu par leur mère, de nombreux enfants élisent domicile sous les ponts et dans les caniveaux, et deviennent ainsi victimes de drogue et de prostitution. Blessés par linjustice et meurtris par la violence de la rue, ces jeunes, livrés eux-mêmes, nont accès ni aux soins ni à léducation. Dans les bidonvilles, la situation est à peine plus reluisante. Des milliers de familles sentassent dans des logements de fortune dressés au beau milieu des ordures, sous des bâches trouées et des plaques de tôles. Leur environnement est insalubre, leur avenir est incertain. Cest dans ce contexte ignoble, mais empreint despérance, que la Fondation Anak-Tnk, dirigé par labbé Matthieu Dauchez, intervient jour et nuit auprès de ces enfants, « pour remettre leur petit cur en marche ». À travers des images bouleversantes et des témoignages poignants, ce documentaire nous plonge dans la misère des bidonvilles et des trottoirs de Manille, et nous laisse entrevoir aussi la joie et lespérance de ces enfants qui offrent tout ce qu'ils n'ont jamais reçu.
