de la Fondation catholique Sel et Lumière média

Le Conseil d’administration de la Fondation Catholique Sel et Lumière Média accepte la démission du père Thomas Rosica comme Président Directeur Général. Au cours des 16 dernières années, avec notre fondateur Gaetano Gagliano, le père Rosica a joué un rôle central dans la fondation et la croissance de S+L Télévision. La participation de nombreux jeunes hommes et femmes sur nos différentes plateformes médiatiques a eu un impact positif sur la vie de nombreuses personnes dans le monde. Nous sommes reconnaissant envers le père Rosica pour son leadership.

La chaîne de télévision Sel et Lumière est un cadeau important pour l’Église au Canada et bien au-delà. En tant que Conseil d’administration, nous sommes en solidarité avec toute l’équipe dévouée de Télévision Sel et Lumière et nous vous demandons de continuer de les supporter par vos prières ainsi que par votre générosité financière. Au cours des derniers mois, Alex Du, notre directeur des opérations a habilement dirigé les opérations de notre chaîne au quotidien. Notre Conseil d’administration a débuté la recherche d’un nouveau PDG qui pourra continuer l’important travail de ce ministère d’Église. Durant ce temps de transition, Alex Du sera le PDG par intérim.

Déclaration du père Thomas Rosica, csb

Après 16 ans comme Président Directeur Général fondateur, je remets ma démission du Conseil d’administration de la Fondation Catholique Sel et Lumière Média. Cette décision prend effet aujourd’hui. Travailler de près avec le fondateur, Gaetano Gagliano, sa famille ainsi qu’un Conseil d’administration dédié à ce projet médiatique fut pour moi un immense privilège. Je suis reconnaissant envers l’équipe de jeunes adultes qui ont participé à la réalisation de la vision de Gaetano pour les médias catholiques. Je rends grâce pour le bien qui a été fait, pour les bénédictions que j’ai reçues et je demande pardon pour mes erreurs : ne pas avoir inscrit correctement les références aux personnes et les sources dans mes écrits.

Je suis confiant que Sel et Lumière va continuer de grandir et d’apporter la saveur de l’Évangile et la lumière du Christ au monde. Je remercie tous ceux qui nous ont supportés et qui ont prié pour nous au cours des années. La remarquable équipe de Sel et Lumière a besoin de vos encouragements et de votre générosité dans les semaines et mois à venir. Sel et Lumière aura toujours dans mon esprit et mon cœur une place toute spéciale.

Statement of the Board of Directors
of the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation
June 17, 2019

The Board of Directors of the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation has accepted today Fr. Thomas Rosica’s resignation as its founding Chief Executive Officer. Together with our founder, Gaetano Gagliano, Fr. Rosica played a critical role in the founding and growth of this network over the past 16 years. The involvement of many young women and men on our various media platforms has made a positive difference in the lives of many people around the world. We are grateful to Fr. Rosica for his leadership.

Salt and Light Television Network is a great gift to the Church in Canada and far beyond. As the Board of Directors, we stand firmly with the dedicated staff of Salt and Light and we ask you to continue to support them with your prayers and generosity. For the past months, Alex Du, our Chief Operating Officer has ably led the daily operation of the network. Our Board has begun a search for a new CEO who will continue the important work of this Catholic media ministry. During this time of transition, Alex Du will be the interim CEO.

Statement from Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB
June, 17 2019

After 16 years as the founding Chief Executive Officer, I have submitted my resignation to the Board of Directors of the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation effective today. It has been a great privilege to work closely with our founder, Gaetano Gagliano, his family, and a dedicated Board of Directors on this media project. I am grateful for the young adults working with us who helped realize Gaetano’s vision for Catholic Television and media. I give thanks for the good that was done and for the blessings received and I ask forgiveness for errors in not properly acknowledging individuals and attributing sources in my writings.

I am confident that Salt and Light will continue to grow and bring the flavor of the Gospel and the light of Christ to the world. I thank all who have supported us and prayed for us over the past years. The remarkable Salt and Light staff rely on your encouragement and generosity in the weeks and months ahead. Salt and Light will always have a special place in my mind and heart.
