Point of View: Interpreting the Francis Effect - Fr. Thomas Rosica
Fr. Thomas Rosica, the CEO of Salt and Light Television, has done work in the communications field for the Vatican since 2008. Having served as the English media attaché for two Synods of Bishops, Director of the Holy See Press Office Fr. Federico Lombardi brought him back to Rome to assist with the 2013 papal transition. Their strategy was to use the historic event as a teaching moment, when the eyes of the world were fixated on one of the most dramatic elections in the Church’s 2,000 year history. Few people have witnessed first-hand what Fr. Rosica has since the election of Pope Francis; his reflections offered here in an extended interview are not only insightful, but essential to paint a fuller picture of the ongoing phenomenon that we call “the Francis effect.”

Rather than Bible study, it is intended to draw us closer to God through this sacred reading, and to transform our attitudes and behaviour.
